The British Colonial Office has instigated a widespread search in Antwerp, Belgium, for the persons responsible for shipping 359 drums of ammunition disguised as cement to a Jewish importer in Tel Aviv, according to a cablegram received here today by Acting High Commissioner Sir John Hathorn-Hall from the Colonial Office in London.
High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope, at present in London, is personally taking charge of the investigation, the cable said, and officially communicated his assurances to the Palestine population that the persons responsible for the munitions-smuggling attempt would be brought to justice.
