A serious shortage of hospital beds exists here, High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope was told today when he arrived to inspect this all-Jewish city.
The High Commissioner also was informed by officials that the municipality is badly in need of land on which to build suburbs for persons of small means. Municipal officials asked for government assistance for this project.
