Relaxation of immigration restrictions on refugees was urged in an open letter to Home Secretary Sir Samuel Hoar today by Laborite Col. Josiah Wedgwood.
Col. Wedgwood asked the Government not to insist on re-emigration of children and other refugees who are being retrained at camps here for future occupations abroad. He urged that labor restrictions on refugees be removed in order to absolve the Jewish community of its maintenance pledge.
