Dr. Chaim Weizmann announced today that he will leave for the United States within two months to confer with Zionist leaders there, The disclosure was made during a brief address at the settlement of Raanana which was founded about 20 years ago with funds contributed by American Jews. Dr. Weizmann was warmly greeted by Baruch Ostrowsky, mayor of Raanana, a former resident of New York.
Speaking later at the agricultural school in the settlement of Magdiel, Dr. Weizmann said that a prime prerequisite to achievement of maximum Zionist aims was unity within the Palestine Jewish community. He expressed the hope that before leaving Palestine he will have succeeded in uniting all divergent groups.
