The forthcoming trips of Defense Minister Ezer Weizman and Deputy Premier Yigael Yadin were officially postponed this afternoon during a ministerial meeting at Premier Menachem Begin’s residence here.
Weizman was due to leave for Cairo Sunday. His visit, however, was postponed due to difficulties encountered in planning his observance of the Passover holidays while in Egypt. The Defense Minister will leave for Egypt at the conclusion of the holidays. The exact date of his visit will be decided upon in consultations with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
Yadin, due to visit Cairo after Passover, will now leave for Egypt following independence Day festivities. While in Egypt, he will discuss the various stages of normalization of Israel-Egypt relations with his Egyptian counterpart.
