Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, conferred at length this afternoon with Colonial Secretary William Ormsby-Gore on the Palestine disorders.
The conversation is believed to have been largely devoted to the expected suspension by Great Britain of Jewish immigration into the Holy Land.
While reports have been current that immigration would be suspended temporarily during the forthcoming Royal Commission investigation of the disorders, it is understood that no official decision on such action has yet been taken.
A meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday is expected to discuss the entire Palestine situation and it is believed the question of immigration shutdown will be taken up then.
