A check designed to aid chemical research at his laboratories in Rehoboth, Palestine, was turned over to Dr. Chaim Weizmann yesterday at a luncheon in his honor by a group of prominent industrialists in the middle west.
The luncheon was tendered by Nate S. Shapero, president of the Cunningham Drug Stores in Michigan, and presentation of the check was made by Lewis Judah Ruski head of the Ford-Hopkins drugstore chain. The check was accompanied by a parchment testimonial carrying the names of all who made the gift.
