A Latin-American office of the Weizmann Institute of Science will be established here, it was announced today Dr. Abraham Mibashan, noted Zionist leader, following his return from New York where he participated in conferences dealing with problems concerning the Institute.
Dr. Mibashan, who will direct the work of the Latin American office, told a press conference that he intends to develop a program of activities in various Latin American countries to keep the Jewish population there informed about the significance and the work of the Institute. Members of the Institutes staff, he said, will visit Latin American countries from time to time to lecture on the work of the Institute and to establish contact with scientists there.
