Announcement of a $100,000 gift to the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science for the establishment of a Plastics Research Institute, soon to be erected and equipped at Rehovoth, Palestine, was made yesterday by Edmund I. Kaufmann, president of the committee. Contributed by Harry and Louis Levine, industrialists of Leominster, Mass., the gift is part of a $2,000,000 fund sought by the committee for the establishment of a research center in Palestine that will bear the name of Dr. Chaim Weizmann.
