Dr. Chaim Weizmann, who is expected to arrive in New York by Clipper from Lisbon this week, will confer will leading American scientists regarding his chemical research for the British war effort and will discuss with American Jewish leaders plans for enabling Palestine to give maximum aid to the British cause in the Near East, the Emergency Committee for Zionist Affairs stated today.
Dr. Weizmann will remain in this country only a short time since he expects to return to London as soon as possible to resume his war duties. He has been engaged in work in a special chemical laboratory of the British Admiralty. He was director of the Admiralty’s chemical laboratories during the first World War.
