West Bank Jews have launched a marketing campaign to attract Israeli tourists to the area.
The Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria is overseeing a $1.5 million per year marketing campaign that includes the placement of some 1,000 billboards around Israel to convince potential visitors to the West Bank that the area is safe and important to Jewish heritage, the Forward reported.
The billboards promote such locales as Hebron, Beit El and Shiloh, which are steeped in biblical history.
The campaign will last three years, a spokesman for the council said.
