A Government spokesman said at a press conference here today that the Cabinet would not deal this year with the question of postponing or abolishing the statute of limitations on Nazi war crimes prosecutions and that no date has been set for future discussions of the matter. The statute is scheduled to go into effect at the end of 1969. The spokesman also expressed doubt that the Cabinet would decide Wednesday whether or not to apply to the Constitutional High Court for a ban on the extreme right-wing National Democratic Party (NPD).
