To the Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin:
I was genuinely chagrined to read of the partnership between Rabbi Isserman and Father Coughlin. The address published in the Jewish Daily Bulletin endorsing the program of Father Coughlin in no way adds to the glory of the Rabbi.
Woe is unto our generation when some of its supposed spiritual leaders are turning away from the ancient Judaic principles of “Learning, Service and Charity” to the mania of self-seeking publicity, publicity and more publicity.
Rabbi A. M. Heller.

REICH LINES ANSWER CHARGE
To the Editor, Jewish Daily Bulletin.
There has come to our attention a letter addressed to the city editors of various New York papers under date of April 26 by an organization calling itself the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League to Champion Human Rights, Inc.
In this letter it is stated that the Hamburg-American Line and North German Lloyd have “misled” New York newspapers into printing “mis-information” concerning passengers booked to sail on their vessels. This boycott organization says in this letter that “this information in the publicity releases of the North German Lloyd and Hamburg-American Line is deliberately inspired by propaganda motives.”
We desire categorically to say that the above mentioned letter is a tissue of falsehood from beginning to end. Said letter cites two particular instances to support its general charges that we have wilfully given false information to the press. One relates to the booking of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Warburg for the S.S. Bremen on April 20 and again for the S. S. Europa on April 27, and the other to the booking of Miss Kay Francis and her manager for the S. S. Europa on April 27.
The tickets for both these parties, for the Bremen and Europa respectively, were actually issued and outstanding at the time the newspapers were advised that they would sail on the Europa.
Actual proof is open to your inspection if you desire to send a representative here to convince yourselves of the falsity of the statements of the Boycott League which, we repeat, are absolutely untrue.
