Sir Herbert Samuel, former High Commissioner of Palestine, laid emphasis on the validity of the White Paper policy with regard to Palestine when he discussed the subject here today.
Following an address which he delivered before a Liberal meeting here, the former High Commissioner received a delegation of Manchester Zionists. In addressing the delegation Sir Herbert stated: “The White Paper policy is the only policy practicable in Palestine. The policy which I have initiated is being continued now and will be in the future because it is the only thing practicable under the circumstances. The work in Palestine has to be carried on not only for Palestine, but for the sake of Jewish people throughout the world. The restoration of Jewish culture in its ancient home will revivify the life of the Jews throughout the world.”
