Incroased police cooperation in checking anti-Semitic assaults was demanded here today at a meeting of representatives of social, civic, communal and religious organizations. The meeting was convened by the Jewish Community Council.
Robert Segal, executive of the Council, reported that of the more than a score of cases involving anti-Semitic assaults, in 1950, 13 had occured in the Dorchester Roxbury-Mattapan area. Mr. Segal also revealed that there were four arrests of which three resulted in convictions. He stated, however, that in all the other cases it was not possible to prosecute the culprits becuse the assailants could not be located or identified.
