The first meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Council of Greater New York, formed at the conference called by the American Jewish Congress, was held at the headquarters of the Independent Order B’rith Abraham, New York, under the chairmanship of Senator Entin.

The Committee was appointed for the purpose of devising ways and means of organizing the Jewish community of New York on a firmer basis.

M. Rosenberg, Max Eckman, Bernard G. Richards, Dr. Margosches and Adolph Stern are members of the Committee.
