The British Government has officially accepted the White House invitation to attend a meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on Refugees here in the middle of October, the State Department announced today. Britain is the first nation to announce acceptance of the invitation. The British delegation will be headed by Lord Winterton, chairman of the Intergovernmental Committee.
