Discovery of historical material dealing with Jewish settlement projects in the Dominican Republic during the 1890’s was reported today by Dr. Mark Wischnitzer, former director of the German Jewish Hilsverein, following his return from the Republic, where he spent several months lecturing in behalf of the Dominican Republic Settlement Association and aided in organization of Jewish communal affairs in Ciudad Trujillo.
