Services are being held in many Wisconsin synagogues as a memorial tribute to the late Chaim Nachman Bialik, poet laureate of Jewry.
Two commemmorative gatherings have just been held in Madison—one of these at Congregation Agudas Achim, arranged by a number of Madison Jewish organizations, and a second at the Workmen’s Circle. Dr. Max Kadushin, director of the Hillel foundation in Madison, and Joseph Ginsburg were among the speakers.
Milwaukee Jewry will combine in a Bialik service to be held in Beth Israel Synagogue the night of July 22. Prepared by the Zionist organization, the tribute will be participated in by twenty other Jewish groups. The committee in charge is headed by Herman Schwartz.
