With solemn ceremonies and religious ritual, the Jewish community here commemorated the Warsaw Ghetto rebellion today. Over the weekend, special sermons were preached in all of Turkey’s synagogues on the theme of memorializing the 6, 000, 000 Jews killed during the Nazi regime and the heroism of the nearly 60, 000 Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto who fought suicidally against the might of the Nazi armies in 1943.
