With the backing of the United States, the European Union plans to send its Middle East envoy to Iran to warn that its continued support of groups determined to destroy the peace process could harm its relations with Europe, the Jerusalem Post reported. Miguel Moratinos is likely to make the trip after Iran’s Feb. 18 legislative elections, the paper reported, citing unnamed diplomats in Washington.
