The Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) world conference concluded here today after a week’s sessions. The parley adopted a resolution providing for an $8,000,000 budget for the current year and urging the launching of a new, large-scale campaign for the absorption of new immigrants in Israel.
The conference also approved resolutions adopted by the London and Israeli executives of the organization calling for the transfer of (WIZO) headquarters to Israel. A resolution to double the organization’s present membership to 300,000 was also approved. Mrs. Rebecca Sieff was elected president of the WIZO.
