Dr. Saul Sokol, World Jewish Congress representative in Germany, conferred here with Walter J. Donnelly, newly-appointed American High Commissioner for Germany, on a wide range “of pressing Jewish problems.”
Dr. Sokol said the discussions took place in “a most cordial” atmosphere and that Commissioner Donnelly displayed “much understanding” of the Jewish problem.
He also expressed the appreciation of the W.J.C. for the support given by the United States in helping to obtain material compensation claims from West Germany for the victims of Nazism.
