The major part of New York’s delegation to the triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women left last night for New Orleans where the convention will be held at the Hotel Roosevelt, March 10 to 15.
Delegates from the New York area include Mrs. Leo Sulzberger, Miss Ethel Wise, Mrs. William de Young Kay and Mrs. Julius Wolf of the New York Section of the Council; Mrs. Mortimer Brenner, Mrs. Joseph Schaap, Mrs. Maurice B. Rich, and Mrs. Albert A. Friedlander of Brooklyn; Mrs. John Flaum of Jamaica; Mrs. Fred Elfenbein and Mrs. William W. Mandelbaum of Richmond Hill, Queens; Mrs. S. M. Rothberg and Mrs. A. Novick of Flushing, Queens; Mrs. Joseph L. Racionzer and Mrs. Wm. Van Aalten of Baldwin, L. I.; Mrs. Frances Delson of Staten Island; Mrs. Hiram Elfenbein and Mrs. William S. Glickman of Jersey City; Mrs. Sarah C. Rabinowitz of Paterson, Mrs. J. Rale of Asbury Park; Mrs. Louis Miller of Port Chester; Mrs. Leo Abrahams and Mrs. Julius E. Flink of Newark.
Among New York men who will address the sessions are Prof. Edward C. Lindeman of the New York School for Social Work, who will talk on “The World Today,” Dr. Everett R. Clinchy, director of the National Conference of Jews and Christians, who will conduct a racial relations seminar; Miss Cecilia Razovsky, executive secretary of the National Coordinating Committee for Aid to Refugees from Germany; Leo W. Schwarz of the School for Adult Jewish Education; and Dr. Harry L. Lurie, director of the National Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds.
