New officers of the Women’s Association of the American Ort were elected at a meeting held at the Hotel Lafayette, celebrating the second anniversary of the Women’s Association.
Dr. Anna P. Boudin and R. Pallay Panken were named honorary chairmen. Rac B. Harris was named chairman. Miss Evelyn Dewey, who visited Russia with her father, Professor John Dewey, spoke on education in Russia. Dr. A. Singalowsky described the new vocations being undertaken by Jewish women in Russia and Poland. Through the training schools of the Ort, they are being instructed in handicrafts.
