Women’s liberation has reached the Israeli banks. The management of Bank Tefahot (which specializes in mortgage loans) instructed its branches to allow women to be co-signers in loan applications, the management wrote Knesseter Marsha Friedman of Yaad. The Knesseter raised the issue after she discovered the bank approved only one woman co-signer out of the three necessary to approve a loan.
