Accusing all those who remain silent in the face of Nazi persecution of Jews in Germany as accomplices “of criminals fighting against the civilization of humanity,” the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, now in session here, today issued a manifesto to the Christian world protesting against the silence of civilized Europe on the Nazi atrocities in Germany.

The League accuses those who remain silent as being influenced only by business reasons to assume their apparent indifference. “All who have courage,” says the manifesto, “ought to condemn the disgrace with which Hitler is covering Europe.”
