Adoption of resolutions calling for the liberalization of U.S. immigration laws to admit more displaced persons by utilizing unused quotas, legislation prohibiting Federal aid to institutions of higher education which discriminate against students of minority groups and the establishment of local and national fair practices employment commissions marked the closing sessions yesterday of the National Women’s League of the United Synagogue of America.
Other resolutions urged the delegates from the U.S. and Canada to work toward intensification of the ideals of Judaism in daily life and demanded the adoption of anti-lynch legislation. Mrs. Barnett E. Kopelman of New York was re-elected president.
