The Jewish National Workers Alliance will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of its founding early in February.
In connection with the anniversary, a national campaign for membership is being conducted.
A series of mass meetings are scheduled in New York City where the celebration will culminate on February 4th with a concert to be held in Town Hall.
The New York quota for the membership campaign is 500.
Among the activities of the organization are the establishment and maintenance of a series of Jewish schools and a teachers’ seminary in this country.
At a two-day annual convention of the New Jersey Federation of Temple Sisterhoods held in Paterson, Mrs. Meta Cannold, of Newark, was elected president. Other officers chosen were: Vice-Presidents, Mrs. Emanuel Breikopf, New Brunswick, and Mrs. William Newcorn, Plainfield; Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. William Klein, East Orange; Recording Secretary, Mrs. S. Reinhardt, East Orange; Treasurer, Mrs. E. A. Fuld, Paterson, and Auditor, Mrs. Isadore Weil, Paterson. The officers were installed by the Honorary President, Mrs. Solomon Foster, of Newark. Among the convention features was a round-table discussion on “Voice of the Sisterhood.”
