Twenty Jewish laborers here have been arrested picketing the Pardess Cooperative’s warehouse, demanding that organized Jewish laborers be employed and that non-Jewish labor be dismissed. They include seven women and a number of newcomers from Germany. They were released on bail.
The Hedera Workers’ Council has asked all its men not to accept work at the packing house so long as organized labor is refused a chance of employment and one hundred percent Jewish work is not guaranteed The Pardess is said to be contemplating bringing packers from outside the colony, which the local trade union announces it will resist.
