The World Conference of Polish Jewry, which is now in session here, has decided to launch a campaign for $5,000,000 to assist the Jews in Poland, following the reoeipt of appeals for aid from the Committee of Polish Jews in Warsaw and the Committee of Polish Jews in the USSR, in Moscow, it was announced by Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, president of the American Federation of Polish Jews. The seble received from Moscow, Dr. Tenenbaum disclosed, expressed regret that due to technical diffioulties it was impossible for a delegation from there to attend the conference.
It was revealed last night that the conferencs has received a request from Justice Robert H. Jackson, who will represent the American Government in the preparation and prosecution of war crimes, that it submit to him “every scrap of documentary evidence” in its possession conserning the murder of Jews in Poland. A similar request as also been received from Lt. Col. Joseph V, Hodgson, the United States representative on the United Nations War Crimes Commission.
