The constitutional convention of the World Council of Synagogues, established under the auspices of American Conservative Judaism, will be held November 16, it was announced today. Delegates from 16 countries will attend.
The constitutional convention will be held at the Concord Hotel at Kiamesha Lake concurrently with the 1959 biennial convention of the United Synagogue of America, the central body of Conservative congregations, which will meet November 15-19. Delegates will attend from Australia, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, England, Germany, India, Luxembourg, Israel, Mexico, Panama, Switzerland and the United States.
