A world “Jewish solidarity conference” will be held here this spring to demonstrate “publicly and clearly” the solidarity of diaspora Jewry with Israel, Leon Dulzin, chairman of the World Zionist Organization and Jewish Agency Executives announced today. He said the conference was called at the initiative of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations and the WZO.
According to Dulzin, some 600 delegates are expected to attend, representing Jewish communities and Zionist and non-Zionist groups from around the world. Partners in the conference include the World Jewish Congress and B’nai B’rith. The gathering has the blessings of Premier Menachem Begin.
