Belgian Foreign Minister Pierre Harmel condemned terrorism as he welcomed Syrian Foreign Minister Abdel Halim Khaddam on a three-day official visit here. At a luncheon Friday in honor of Khaddam, Harmel denounced “this other form of violence which chooses innocent people as victims and gravely upsets international order.” At the same time, the Belgian Minister expressed hope for a Middle East peace “based on the non-acquisition of territory by war and the necessity for each country concerned to live securely.”
