The Review of Reviews, writing on Revisionism, says:

Revisionism is a movement of Jewish origin and has nothing in common with the Fascist or similar movements. It is a movement of the working population; it is poor and receives no subvention from employers’ organizations, from chancelleries, or from rich patrons. On the contrary, it is directed towards a moral rennaissance and finds its justification in the miserable situation of the Jews in the East European ghettos, which are patent to all men of good faith.

Revisionism is inspired rather by the philosophy of Macaulay and of Kipling, than by the theories of Mussolini. It is certainly a national movement, but it is conscious of its international responsibilities and of the debt of gratitude it owes to Great Britain.

RISE AND RETIRE WITH ‘HEIL HITLER’

Under the title “That ‘Heil Hitler Habit,’ ” the Evening Dispatch of Birmingham, England, writes:

When officials of the Wuerzberg municipality get up in the morning and greet members of their families they must say “Heil Hitler,” and they must give the same salute when they go to bed at night.

Such is the interpretation of a new order by the municipality that the greeting must be used in the home.

BEST DOCTOR QUITS REICH FOR U. S.

The Evening Standard of London, under the headline, “America’s Gain,” carries the following editorial:

One of the madder aspects of Nazi administration has resulted in Germany losing her best doctor, who is now going to the United States.

This is Dr. S. Thannhauser, the former head of the well-known hospital at Freiburg.

Dr. Thannhauser, who was the favorite pupil of Prof. Friedrich von Mueller, most famous of German doctors, had never identified himself with politics. Moreover, he had an exceptionally good war record, having been in the front line for most of the war. Incidentally, he was severely wounded.

Yet, presumably because of his Jewish ancestry, the Nazis saw fit to relieve him of his post. He has now been appointed head of the Massachusetts General Hospital.

SEES RUMANIA SITUATION SERIOUS

The Chicago Daily News, reporting on the anti-Jewish riots in Rumania, says that they “threaten to assume serious proportions before the movement is brought under control.”

So far these riots, staged in crowded streets as well as on the campus and in the buildings of the national university, have only taken a toll of a few score Jews and Gentiles injured with rocks and sticks, but the police have been compelled to close the medical school and occupy the premises.

Trouble began on March 20, when Gentile students raided a ball given by Jewish students, who retaliated on the following day by breaking up a Nationalist parade at the university. The brawls assumed the proportion of riots on April 5, but did not actually spread through the city proper until yesterday and today.
