The Council of the Federation of Czechoslovak Jews decided today to form a World Union of Czechoslovak Jews.

Chairman H.A. Goodman announced that branches of the federation had recently been formed in Palestine and the United States and further branches were planned in Canada and South Africa. He declared that the Czechoslovak Government had shown the greatest interest in activity aiming, according to Jan Masaryk, at “restoring a free Jewish community in a free Czechoslovakia.”

Springer, secretary general of the federation, paid tribute to the “ever-ready cooperation” of the Czech authorities in London, who, he said, had done their utmost to alleviate the tragic situation of Czech refugees in European border lands.
