Immigrants and the new deal will be the topic of discussion by Charles E. Wyzanski Jr., solicitor of the Department of Labor, when he speaks before the twenty-fifth annual meeting of the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), on February 4, at the Hotel Astor.

A report of the year’s activities will be given by Isaac L. Asofsky, general manager. This will especially emphasize the recent ruling by Attorney General Cummings that the Department of Labor may accept bonds from American relatives on behalf of refugees from Germany who may otherwise be refused visas on the ground that they are likely to become public charges.
