The World Zionist Organization Executive called today unanimously on the Zionist Organization of America to reconsider its decision, announced last week, to withdraw from the American Zionist Federation. The Executive met under the chairmanship of Aryeh L. Dulzin, treasurer of the Jewish Agency and president of the World Union of General Zionists with which the ZOA is affiliated.
The Executive expressed sorrow over the ZOA’s decision and “resolved unanimously to call upon the ZOA to reconsider its decision and return to the ranks of the AZF.” The resolution added that “The Zionist Executive sees in Zionist unity and the fullest cooperation of all the organizations affiliated with the AZF, the essential prerequisite for the fulfillment of the task and challenges which confront the American Jewish community and the State of Israel.”
