Yaacov Tsur, world president of the Jewish National Fund and chairman of the Zionist Actions Committee, arrived here for a visit under the auspices of the Israel Consulate General during which he will address leading Canadian educational and cultural institutions.
Mr. Tsur met with Paul Emile Cardinal Leger in an audience at the Cardinal’s palace in which they discussed relations between the Catholic church and Israel. Mr. Tsur will also take part in the inauguration here and in Quebec City of the Israel-French Canada Cultural Association. Co-chairmen of this newly founded cultural association are Monsignor Irenee Lussier, rector of the University of Montreal and Justice Harry Batshaw of Montreal.
