Funeral services were held this morning for Yaakov Zerubavel (Vitkin), veteran journalist and Labor Zionist leader who died here this weekend at the age of 81. A member of the Zionist executive, Mr. Zerubavel was director of the central archives of the Jewish labor movement and coeditor of "Ha’Achdut," a weekly publication.
Born in Poltava, Ukraine, Mr. Zerubavel came to Palestine in 1910 and served as editor of the "Arbeiter Zeitung" and of the "Naye Welt." He was also the author of numerous books.
