Yehudi Menuhin, seventeen-year-old genius of the violin, will be heard with the Philadelphia Orchestra, under the direction of Leopold Stokowski, in its broadcast concert over the WABC-Columbia network from 2:30 to 4:00 p. m., Friday. It will be the young violinist’s first radio performance with a major symphonic organization.
For his appearance with Stokowski, Menuhin has chosen the Beethoven Concerto in D major for violin and orchestra, the composer’s only work of this character for the violin.
