Samuel Levy, Manhattan Borough President, declared last night at a dinner commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Yeshiva College that the “Jewish soul never will be crushed so long as the spirit of Yeshiva exists.”
Addressing 1,200 persons at the Hotel Astor, Mr. Levy, who is chairman of the Yeshiva College Council, described the Yeshiva as “almost a miniature college” and hailed it as the supreme achievement of Jewish teaching in America.
