A yeshiva has been established at the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany, where several thousand Jewish deportees are still confined, the Agudas Israel office here disclosed today. Rabbi Baumgarten from London has organized the yeshiva with the assistance of two Lithuanian rabbis, who escaped from the Oswiecim camp.
The Agudah also-reports that a conference of former teachers in the Beth Jacob religious schools for girls in Poland was recently held at Celle, in the British zone in Germany. Former instructors from all the camps in the pritish-held area attended. Transportation was furnished by the military government.
The Munich radio today reports that a hotel in the town of Spandorf near Regensburg has been placed at the disposal of an association formed by Jews who have returned from camps. The municipality and the military government have provided beds and kitchen installations. Inmates of the hostel receive clothes and food. In turn, they are manufacturing small articles, free, for the Allied soldiers.
