A new Jewish publication, the Commentator, official organ of the undergraduates of the Yeshiva College, made its appearance yesterday under the editorship of Moses I. Feuerstein.
The paper will be published twice a month throughout the college year. The executive committee of the Student Council announce that it will assume full responsibility for all statements contained in the editorial columns of the publication.
The first issue carries an editorial criticizing the Rabbinical Assembly and the Central Conference of American Rabbis for endorsing the work of the Histadruth in Palestine. Another editorial urges the celebration of the Maimonides anniversary as a true Orthodox appreciation of the genius of Maimonides.
The Commentator also contains news of student life in the Yeshiva College, including a sports page.
