The Graduate School of Science of Yeshiva University announced today it had been awarded an $83,000 grant for research in the field of statistical mechanics.
Dr. Abe Gelbart, dean, said the United States Air Force Office of Scientific Research made the award for a study to be directed by Dr. Joel L. Labowitz, associate professor of physics. Dr. Labowitz said the study will cover investigations in pure physics.
