Yeshiva University Opens Canadian Office; to Aid Communities Seeking Rabbis

Yeshiva University announced today the opening of an office of Canadian activities with headquarters in Montreal, in a move to extend the university’s ties with the Jewish community in Canada.

Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university, also announced the appointment of Rabbi Karpol Bender of Kingston, Ontario, as director of the new service unit. Dr. Belkin said that the university’s recent growth and expansion of its service activities has attracted an increasing number of students.
