Yeshiva University Presents Science Award to Sarnoff; Honors Astronaut

Yeshiva University tonight launched a $15,000,000 science center development program at a dinner here honoring General David Sarnoff, chairman of the board of the Radio Corporation of America, and Malcolm Scott Carpenter, the U. S. astronaut who today marked the second anniversary of his three-orbit Aurora 7 space flight.

General Sarnoff was presented with Yeshiva University’s Distinguished Science Award for his “rich contributions to 20th Century science and technology.” The award was presented by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university.
