Yaffa Ajami, 19-year-old Jewish mother of a five-month-old infant son whose father is Abdul Rahim Najdaleh, a Moslem, was reunited with her child today, following a district court ruling here absolving her of “kidnaping” her own child.
The girl had placed the child temporarily in the Welfare Ministry’s home at Ramat Gan. But, when the home refused to let her have the child, after a month, she took the infant away. The court’s ruling, dismissing the kidnaping charge, was approved by the Welfare Ministry. The Jewish girl and the Moslem are now trying to convince their respective families that they should be permitted to marry.
