Young Men’s Hebrew Associations, Young Women’s Hebrew Associations and Jewish Community Centers, numbering three hundred, which are affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board, have been urged by the Board to respond to the appeal of President Coolidge to contribute to the fund for the relief of sufferers from the floods in the Mississippi Valley, devoting the proceeds of entertainments and activities as well as individual contributions to this purpose.

A series of 25 questions and answers on Lag Ba’Omer, which falls this year on May 20th, has been compiled by the Jewish Welfare Board.

These questions and answers form part of a Lag Ba’Omer bulletin. The bulletin consists of an outline of the main facts concerning the historical significance and observance of Lag Ba’Omer, and a digest of the stories of Bar Kochba and Rabbi Akiba.
