The president of Israel’s Parliamentary Committee for Security and Foreign affairs, Chaim Zadok, stressed that Israel is prepared to negotiate at any moment with the Arab states and also described the current cease-fire as “an important and positive step” towards peace. Zadok’s declaration, at the session of the Interparliamentary Union, came in reply to attacks from a number of Arab states including the Kuwaitian delegate who in his address described Israel as “Zionist Nazis.” The Israeli delegation voted on behalf of the Indian resolution which condemned the Pakistani atrocities in the East Pakistan crisis.
